Marigolds in Asian Bamboo Vase

This is a painting of a summer bouquet from my garden. I picked a few orange marigolds and put them into a small Asian vase. I used a resist technique to portray the bamboo design on the vase. I added a blue whimsical butterfly, as I often do on my floral paintings along with 5 red dots to the side to provide balance. It is on acid free watercolor paper and is ready to frame. Size 7x7 inches.
